Comprehensive Rebuild
LEVEL TWO SERVICE
Each carb and it’s components are processed exactly as in the ‘Basic’ service. In addition to this labor, rebuild kits are installed according to the customer’s preference. Customers can supply rebuild kits, or we can purchase them for install.
Also, worn and damaged hardware is either repaired or replaced. All linkages and moving parts are cleaned and lightly lubricated after setting them back to optimal working configurations. Float heights are set to you machine’s specification and all slides are visually synced. Accelerator pumps are calibrated as is possible, and tested to insure correct operation. Units are them properly packaged and returned via UPS.
NOTE : I recommend also having your petcocks disassembled, cleaned and rebuilt as well… if you are going to the time and expense of a carburetor rebuild or restoration. This is also a good time to check the condition of your fuel tank to make sure it is not going to run contaminants thru your fuel system post cleaning. I will ultrasonically clean your petcocks for free as part of the comprehensive and complete restoration service packages. Otherwise, it’s $10 for cleaning a pair, excluding parts. Parts costs are quoted at time of inspection as price can vary greatly depending on make, model and condition.

PLEASE NOTE : I often require a deposit on ‘Comprehensive’ level work. Typically, work is not scheduled until a deposit is received. The balance is always due prior to shipping the units back to the customer.
