It’s getting harder and harder to find good painters that work at reasonable rates. Many of them have decided not to paint anymore due to all the environmental hassles they have to face. For the first few years, I had nothing but trouble with painters. I ‘ate’ a lot of money due to their inability to do deliver to level of quality required for restorations. I should thank them though… because of them I learned how to paint to the quality my customers require.

Most work I am now able to do in house. The only reason I will go out of house is to use a bigger spray booth. The large number of parts, like on a Vincent Black Shadow for example, requires a larger booth than what I currently have.

Most the time and money is usually spent in the prep work, so I perform all metal and paint prep work in house including primer application. This way, your money goes as far as possible when it gets to the paint booth.
